What it does
Paste a caption, get a recipe
Copy the text off a cooking video and it becomes ingredients with real quantities, steps, per-step timers and surface temperatures. When it cannot find something it says so rather than guessing.
A list sorted for your store
Ingredients across every recipe you planned get merged, added up across different units, and put in the order you actually walk the aisles. Anything already in your pantry drops off.
Out of something? Swap it
Tap any item on the list for a replacement that works, with how much of it to use.
Cook without touching the screen
One step at a time, large type, a timer on any step that mentions a duration, and the screen stays awake. The timer runs off the clock, so it is still right after your phone has been in your pocket.
What it does not do
It does not know what is in stock at your store, because no grocery chain publishes that. It sorts your list into the aisle order for the kind of store you are standing in and gives you a substitution for whatever is not on the shelf, which is the part that is actually possible.
It does not pull recipes off a video link automatically. That would mean scraping, which breaks those platforms' terms. Pasting the caption works and runs entirely on your phone.
